Tracking and
Billing System for US Fleet Services
US Fleet Services (Fleet Fueling Service)
needed a system to track gallons and mileage
for the fleets of trucks it was fueling
and generate reports for its customers.
They also needed this system to handle
the billing. Joe Werner developed a database
to store all of the customers, billing,
gallons, and mileage information, a VB
user interface, and MS Access reports.
The result was a huge cost/time savings
for the company. Data entry and reporting
were much faster and more accurate than
the messy array of spreadsheets.
Automated
Voice System for New York State HEAP Oil
Buying Component
The Oil Buying Component of New York State
HEAP (a NYSERDA state program) needed
to automate their toll-free line. Participating
vendors call in daily to find out what
they should charge HEAP eligible customers
for oil and kerosene. The program grew
from a pilot with 6 counties to a larger
program with 20 counties. The toll-free
line could no-longer be updated by simply
recording a new message every day. Abound
programmed an IVR system that integrated
the program's price database. The system
is fully automatic and generates monthly
reports on call activity. The system cut
cost/time and enabled the state project
to expand.
